Insightful films about crimes that linger in the memory. In this series, I place particular emphasis on the survivors’ perspective.
With a multifaceted and well-researched approach, I look behind the scenes of crimes that are still remembered today: Who were the perpetrators? How did the crime come about? And above all: How do family and friends live with the crime today?
My most recent film was about two brothers whose foster father was murdered in Bergkamen in 1986. In the documentary, Peter Weber and Bernhard Osinski speak for the first time about their foster father’s murder. Weber describes his memories of the crime today as follows: “It’s a scar on the soul.”
